In the Fall of 2010, I sent my son off to college.  Not just any college. But, The Citadel Military College in Charleston, South Carolina.

Not in a million years did my husband and I think our son would be interested in a military college.  When we ask him what helped him make his decision.  He replied “the leadership qualities they instill in you, the structure because I need it to get through school” plus many more reasons.

When I started receiving all the literature regarding what he would need to attend, I was a bit overwhelmed.  Even though incoming cadets don’t have to furnish their rooms, there are still clothing and personal items he is required to furnish.  To begin with they have to supply their own bed linens.  And, they must be white.  I don’t know about you but I don’t have one white sheet, towel or washcloth in my home.

In addition, the cadets must bring white tee shirts, white handkerchiefs, white underwear, and many other white items my son has never owned.

I realized there must be other parents out there in the same boat – frantically preparing and purchasing all the required items in time for Matriculation Day.

Since I make my living on the Internet, I decided to build this website to help those parents who most likely are searching and shopping for their cadets.

I have established categories based on the list sent to me from The Citadel Admissions personnel.  I’ve included articles, videos and resource links based on my research and the best and most economical sites to purchase items.
